Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

In Germany, our office in the heart of Munich supports national as well as international clients in the DACH region. Together with the London office, we represent Integration Consulting in Europe. 


Our international team is looking for a full-time Financial Accountant (m/f/d) to be based in Munich to support our European offices.


RESPONSABILITIES

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with local accounting firms in Germany and in the UK.
  • Oversee the preparation and verification of data for monthly account closings, ensuring accuracy and completeness in line with external accounting firm requirements
  • Compile and organize data for payroll calculations and control payroll accounting for Germany, France and the UK, addressing employee inquiries
  • Conduct thorough reconciliation of P&L statements, balance sheets and control reports (e.g. cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, intercompany balances and salary reports) in accordance with internal standards
  • Oversee VAT settlements conducted by external entities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Generate monthly analyses and reports for site-level activities, facilitating global consolidation efforts within the central finance department for Germany and the UK
  • Provide necessary information and assistance to external auditors
  • Assist in planning and forecasting administrative expenses and ongoing financial processes for European offices, contributing to strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Prepare other reports for HQ-related accounting information when needed


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting – or a comparable qualification
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in finance or auditing in an international company
  • Solid accounting knowledge in relation to the German Commercial Code (HGB), especially German VAT laws, and experience in the areas of asset, general, debtor and creditor accounting
  • Solid knowledge of social security, payroll tax and labor laws as well as of payroll accounting and          time management
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfort and experience taking individual ownership
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English, knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish is a plus
  • Flexibility, commitment, punctuality and a structured, process and solution-oriented way of working
